1. Product Overview
The Longnice prefabricated container substation uses a standardised enclosure that is customised in the factory and assembled on site. Its electrical equipment is modular: a transformer, high-voltage switchgear and controlgear, low-voltage switchgear and controlgear, internal wiring, metering, reactive-power compensation, surge arresters and other auxiliary equipment are housed together in one common enclosure or in a group of enclosures. The range covers metallic and non-metallic enclosures as well as containerised configurations, so the arrangement can be matched to the project. The complete substation is commissioned and tested in accordance with the applicable standards before it is put into service.
2. Configuration
•Enclosure: standardised container-type steel enclosure with corrugated walls, ISO corner castings and lockable access doors; a non-metallic enclosure option is available for suitable sites.
•Transformer: oil-immersed or dry-type distribution or step-up transformer, mounted inside the enclosure.
•High-voltage compartment: medium-voltage incoming, metering and protection switchgear, including surge arresters.
•Low-voltage compartment: low-voltage incoming, distribution, metering, reactive-power compensation and control equipment.
•Internal wiring: fitted and tested in the factory between compartments, so site work is limited to the external cable connections.
•Earthing: common earthing terminals are provided for the enclosure and for the installed equipment.
3. Standards and Compliance
The unit is designed, manufactured and tested in accordance with the following standards; where a project specifies the equivalent international standard, the corresponding IEC publication applies.
•Prefabricated substations: GB/T 17467 (IEC 62271-202)
•Power transformers: GB 1094 series (IEC 60076 series)
•Oil-immersed transformers: GB/T 6451
•Dry-type transformers: GB/T 1094.11
•Medium-voltage switchgear and controlgear: GB/T 3906 (IEC 62271-200)
•Low-voltage switchgear and controlgear assemblies: GB/T 7251.1 (IEC 61439-1)
•Surge arresters: GB/T 11032 (IEC 60099-4)
•Shunt power capacitors for reactive-power compensation: GB/T 11024 (IEC 60831 series)
•Degrees of protection provided by enclosures: GB/T 4208 (IEC 60529)
•Grid connection of renewable plants: GB/T 19964 (photovoltaic) and GB/T 19963 (wind power)
Rated voltage, rated capacity, impedance voltage, temperature rise, vector group and degree of protection are confirmed for each project and stated on the nameplate. Routine tests are carried out on every unit before delivery, and type-test reports are available on request.
4. Typical Applications
•Solar photovoltaic power generation, including containerised inverter-boost and collection stations.
•Battery energy-storage plants and new-energy bases.
•Onshore wind power plants and combined wind-photovoltaic stations.
•Industrial, commercial and municipal distribution projects that need a compact, factory-built substation.
•Export projects, where the container form simplifies handling, road transport and sea freight.
